THE CHANGES IN THINKING AND REFLECTION IN ART THANKS TO WORLD WAR I
ČURDA, Bohuslav
The aim of this bachelor's thesis is to present and analyse the art of the early 20th century in Central Europe, so that it is possible to evaluate how the mentally complex social situation before, during and after the war was reflected in art, and how people's thinking has changed. Painting and literature will be pointed out and it will be lightly linked to the music of individual artistic styles. Each of the styles, which in this work includes expressionism, cubism, futurism and dadaism, depicts a view of the world, which leads us to the conclusion that behind it all is man, or society. According to the works I have selected, which have moved with time and influenced the direction of art, we will finally conclude that the theme of the works and the resulting feelings flexibly indicated the direction in which Europe was heading. At first, man longed for a change that would be brought by war, so expressionism often follows on from shocking to haunting matters in conjunction with contrasting colors. Subsequent cubism seeks to fend off the confusing fruits of science that new technologies have brought. The result is the decomposition or destruction of previously clear things. Futurism will further support this idea with a focus on radical destruction through technology and the expectation of a more dynamic and modern future in terms of technology. And the dadaism created during the war only reflects violence and tries to break the old values in its grotesque art that is supposed to end the war. In the same way, other artistic directions realize the destructiveness of modern warfare, and after the war they try to warn against the technologies of the new war, or just retroactively reflect the horrible experiences of the war.
The Building of the Tower of Babel (analysis of hebrew text genesis 11)
Říhová, Kristýna ; Beneš, Jiří (advisor) ; Biernot, David (referee)
ANOTATION The work deals with translation and interpretation of the original Hebrew text of Genesis 11, making the use of synchronous exegetical method. The method focuses mostly on careful observation of multi-layered meanings of Hebrew terms, direct speeches, macrosyntactical markers, parallelisms and sentence constituents. To reach deeper dimension of the text, the work also takes into account the original non-vocalized text, graphical form of the text, consonances and metathesis. One of the most significant features of this work is the attention paid to the timeless nature of Hebrew verbs, which allows to read the narrative about human desire, pride, non-hearing, illusions, inner decay and the way back to God not as a story from the past, but as a lively anthropological message.

A difficult patient in the care of a nurse
ZUZÁKOVÁ, Marie
The topic of the bachelor{\crq}s thesis is the ``Difficult Patient in a Nurse{\crq}s Work.{\crqq} The thesis is divided into 10 chapters. The theoretical findings are listed in the chapter ``Current Situation.{\crqq} The theoretical part addresses more general topics such as the specific features of work of nurses in selected wards, the roles of nurses and their professional characteristics. However, particular attention is paid to the specific situations based on which the patient may be deemed ``difficult.{\crqq} These chapters describe the personality of the person affecting his role as a patient, the patient{\crq}s reaction to disease, aggressiveness, causes of aggressive behaviour and other aspects. The conclusion is devoted to the psychic burden on nurses and burnout syndrome. The objective of the bachelor{\crq}s thesis is to determine what criteria nurses have when selecting and stipulating the order of difficult patient. Two hypotheses were chosen: patients are deemed ``difficult by nurses in different ways, according to the specific features of the ward. The demands placed on treatment care affect the identification of a patient as difficult. A survey was performed at selected wards: ARO, JIP, ONP, CHO (anaesthesiology-resuscitation ward, intensive care unit, subsequent treatment ward, surgical ward) at the České Budějivice Hospital a.s. 140 questionnaires were handed out, of which 97 were returned. The return rate was 69%. The questionnaire contained 22 questions, which were to provide answers to the assumed hypotheses. The objective of the work was fulfilled and it was found that the most common criteria affecting the evaluation and order of a ``difficult{\crqq} patient are non-cooperation, unease, and alcohol or drug intoxication. Nurses determine the order of a ``difficult{\crqq} patient almost identically. The most difficult patients according to nurses are those that are aggressive, then those that are uneasy or confused. The first hypothesis was not confirmed, because when identifying a ``difficult{\crqq} patient, nurses almost always agreed, regardless of the specific features of the ward. The second hypothesis was confirmed, because the survey proved that care for a ``difficult{\crqq} patients places demands on staffing of the shift and the nurses{\crq} education. According to the respondents{\crq} demands, a recommendation for the future would be the possibility of attending more seminars and courses aimed at the given topic.
